Careers in International Law: Working in a London-based Finance Practice, a Conversation with Jane Rogers ('96)

Please join Jane Rogers (JD ’96), a partner in Ropes & Gray’s finance group in London, for a wide-ranging conversation about representing global corporate clients in a variety of financing transactions, mergers & acquisitions, public and private securities offerings and other corporate matters. Ms. Rogers is a member of the firm’s policy committee and a former co-head of the firm’s global finance practice. In her remarks, Ms. Rogers will discuss her work and career path as well as the type of work generally performed by U.S.-trained attorneys in London. Ms. Rogers will also address the current issues facing the legal industry, including the continuing impact of COVID-19 and Brexit. Lastly, she will offer advice to students interested in starting their legal careers abroad, particularly with large international law firms.
