John William Strong
Associate Professor of Law, 1967-1969, Professor of Law, 1969-1970

John W. Strong joined the Duke Law faculty as an associate professor after being a visiting assistant professor at the school during the 1966-67 academic year.  Strong gained a full professorship in 1969.  Later that year he joined the faculty at the University of Oregon School of Law. 

Strong completed his B.A. in 1957 at Yale and an LL.B. in 1962 at the University of Illinois.  He spent a few years in practice before becoming an assistant professor of law at the University of Kansas in 1964.
