Associate Professor of Law 1966-1969, Professor of Law 1969-1971
Ernest Gellhorn joined the Duke University Law School faculty in 1967, and remained for four years, teaching courses on administrative law, contracts, and various seminars. Gellhorn’s expertise lay in the fields of antitrust and administrative law.
Gellhorn earned his B.A. and LL.B. from the University of Minnesota in 1956 and 1962, respectively. Prior to his arrival to Duke Law, he served in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1959, and did general practice from 1962-1966. Gellhorn passed away in 2005.
