Copy Policy

Main Content

Under the Law School’s current photocopying policy, students are not charged for supplemental photocopied course materials in courses that require the purchase of a textbook. However, in courses where there is no required published textbook and photocopied materials replace the standard textbook, students will be charged for the photocopied course materials. This charge will be the actual charge incurred by the Law School for the reproduction of the materials.

Where to Purchase Your Photocopied “Textbook”

Materials will be available in Room 2048 (Law School Mailroom), which is located on the second floor across from Student Records. You will be notified through Sakai class listserv as to where you can pickup supplemental materials (materials that do not represent a textbook). Supplemental materials will not be available in Room 2048.

Course materials on sale

Course materials will be on sale during the following times:

  • Monday through Friday:
    9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

How to Pay for Photocopied “Textbooks”

Please be prepared to pay for your course materials credit cards (preferred), check, or exact cash. Students will be notified of the cost of the materials as soon as the Law School has that information either by posting the information to Sakai, through the class discussion lists, or postings in the copy center (Room 2048).

Return Policy

NO RETURNS OR REFUNDS are possible unless you purchased a duplicate copy of the materials. The duplicate copy must be returned in excellent condition suitable for resale within one week of purchase. If there is a possibility that you will drop the course, please do not purchase the course pack. When possible, copies of the course materials that are for sale will be placed on reserve in the Library for your review until the drop/add process is completed.
