Main Content

Special Themed Panels on the Business Environment of Entrepreneurship

Duke University Law School and Fuqua School of Business
May 18-19, 2017

This conference explores the interrelationships between the business strategies of firms and the social, legal, and political environment in which they operate.  The conference will bring together scholars interested in integrating business environment issues and business strategy.  This year’s conference will include special panels on the business environment of entrepreneurship and encourages submissions in the area.

The conference is receptive to a wide range of research perspectives and methodologies, including formal theoretical modeling, quantitative research drawing upon historical/archival data, surveys, or publicly available data, and qualitative research. We are particularly interested in papers that have implications for management.  Papers drawn from economics, political science, finance, entrepreneurship, strategic management, law, and other fields are within the realm of the conference. The conference will cover the travel expenses of paper presenters.

For administrative questions, please contact Victoria Zellefrow at SBE2017@duke.edu. For questions about the content of the conference, please contact John de Figueiredo at SBEConference2017@duke.edu.
