We are celebrating a job well done to Prof. Sara Sun Beale, who had her final class last week! 👏 Prof. Beale has been an integral part of the Duke Law community for the past 45 years and will only continue to have a lasting impact. Thank you, Prof. Beale! We will miss you! ❤️

“Thank you, Sara!:” Prof. Sara Sun Beale, a cornerstone of the Duke Law faculty, is retiring. (I’m not crying, you’re crying) 😢 📚💙👏 After Prof. Beale taught her final class last week, many of her fellow faculty, as well as current students and staff, turned out to say “Thank you!” Applause and cheers filled the hallway as Beale exited from her class, with dozens smiling and celebrating her and her contributions as a scholar, teacher, and friend. Beale, the Charles L. B. Lowndes Distinguished Professor of Law, began her career at Duke Law in 1979 and has gone on to become a respected and beloved part of our Law School community.
