The Center on Law, Ethics and National Security

Conferences

The Center sponsors a number of conferences and other programs each year that focus on topics of current interest to the national and, indeed, the international security community. It works both independently and with other local, national and international organizations to bring together scholars, policymakers, students, and practitioners in forums where there can be open comment and debate among the participants.

Each spring the Center hosts a major national security law conference in Durham. Information on these conferences is found below. (Videos of presentations and panels can be found by clicking on the hyperlink for a particular conference)

In addtion, for more than a decade, the Center has joined with the American Bar Association's Standing Committee on Law and National Security to present an annual national security law update and review conference in Washington, D.C.
